Married woman stabs pastor dead as he tries to rape her during “deliverance”

A married pastor from Cross River State, Oliver Akpan has been stabbed to death by a woman who claims he wanted to rape her during a deliverance session.

 

According to a report, Pastor Akpan, a father of six had long been suspected of sleeping with both married and single female church members all in the name of deliverance but unfortunately for him Mrs. Ekamma, who is also married with two children was not one of those congregants with blind faith.
 

Mrs Ekamma reportedly went to the Pastor to seek help over some spiritual issues and the “man of God” had recommended a three day dry fasting for the woman to be carried out in the church and on the final day, have a spiritual bath to cleanse her of the evil spirit.
 

After going through the fast, the pastor led the woman to a stream to have the spiritual bath… 
 

But the pastor had other ideas in mind as he was said to have told the woman that the bath included him having s*x with her but when she refused, he started to forcefully try to have his way with her… another man’s wife.
 

As the woman tried to free herself, she allegedly picked up a sharp object and stabbed him in the stomach, before running to the village to alert other members of the community.
 

By the time they got to the spot, the wounded pastor had lost consciousness after profuse bleeding. He then was rushed to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
 

The woman who was initially arrested by police has been released on bail while investigation continues.
