Confirmed: Jacque Maribe and Joseph Irungu ‘Jowie’ are no longer dating

Monica Kimani murder case has dealt a heavy blow to Jacque Maribe’s relationship with Joseph Irungu. The Citizen TV anchor spent 32 days incarcerated because of a crime alleged to have been committed by Jowie.

On Tuesday October 30th Justice James Wakiaga granted Maribe bail while Irungu was denied bail, and subsequently taken back to Industrial Area Remand Prison where he will stay for the duration of Monica Kimani murder case.

In his ruling while denying Irungu bail, Justice Wakiaga mentioned that Jowie and Maribe were no longer dating. The judge talked about Irungu’s relationship with Maribe and another lady he also dated before they broke up.

“He is single but was in a relationship with the second accused (Jacque Maribe) who he intended to introduce to his family having been in previous relationship one M.K. who resides in Buruburu which relationship could not be sustained since he was out of the country,” said Justice Wakiaga.

Maribe and Jowie’s relationship came to light in late June 2018 when he proposed to her. Before the marriage proposal, The Citizen TV anchor was thought to be in a relationship with Dennis Itumbi who has been very supportive to her since she was arrested in connection with the murder of Monica Kimani.
